James Roy Horner August 14, 1953 - June 22, 2015 was an American composer, conductor, and orchestrator of orchestral and film music. He was noted for the integration of choral and electronic elements in many of his film scores, and for frequent use of Celtic musical elements. His score to the 1997 film Titanic remains the best selling orchestral film soundtrack of all time. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas was a popular children's book during the late '50s and early '60s, but it achieved a new level of acclaim in 1966 when it first appeared as a television special. Featuring a pitch-perfect cast - direction and production by Warner Bros. veteran Chuck Jones, narration by Boris Karloff, and the immortal voice veteran Thurl Ravenscroft singing You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch - the special packs a lot of material and special moments into its brief 28 minutes.
