A self-production by Slipknot. The album was limited to a single pressing of 1000 copies. The band originally self-released and self-distributed the CDs, but the last 386 copies were eventually picked up for distribution through -ismist Recordings starting on June 13, 1997, with the catalog number "-ism CD 0032". A very limited number of copies was marked with a promo sticker and sent to radio stations and other people.
Dogfish Rising is a hidden track after Killers Are Quiet. It is not listed on the CD.
The booklet mentions a tenth track, which was supposed to be "Part of Me", a song that can be found on the 1995 Slipknot demo. However, it was cut from the tracklist after the booklet was printed.
