Album

Ænima ˈɑːnɪmə AH-ni-mə is the second studio album by American rock band Tool. It was released in vinyl format on September 17, 1996, and in compact disc format on October 1, 1996, through Zoo Entertainment. The album was recorded and cut at Ocean Way in Hollywood and The Hook in North Hollywood from 1995 to 1996. The album was produced by David Bottrill. With Ænima, Tool produced subtle genius with an album that had the feel of completion. Undertow still had the rust of newcomers making a splash. Ænima is the sophomore record by heavy metal group Tool. Released on September 17, 1996, the album continues the progressive, hard rock sound of their debut album, Undertow, albeit with more ambition, leaning towards a more progressive style. BcexE6yH. On Aenima, Tool continues to explore the depths of the human mind and soul, touching on themes such as pain, frustration, guilt, and social decay. As with every Tool album, the band puts forth thought-provoking lyrical messages in their songs, rendering them more powerful through creative musical passages and compositional ideas

If ANYONE has a copy of this for sale please massage me and I will send direct PayPal payment. My copy has a seriously warped C/D side due to the complete lack of respect of a former roommate.

I bought this from one of New Zealand's most reputable record stores, honestly thought it was an official reissue, very happy to own it but really disappointed that I wasn't supporting the band with this purchase.
Anaginn
Would you be willing to sell? Thanks! Very interested in it if it has the printed inner sleeves.
Nidora
If you bought it from real groovy and it the orange vinyl I sold it to them last year I bought it in from overseas.
Kulwes
I have this orange one, picked up local from my record store. The owner whom I talk with regularly said this is the best bootleg version he has ever listened to. I have to agree, the quality is very good. It's not perfect mind you, but at the time the $30.00 was totally worth it for a copy that sounds as good as my official CD.

Mind sounds a tad slow.. If I adjust the pitch up a bit on my table (33.4 for example, I have digital control) it sounds more like the digital release. Strange...

The first vinyl in mine is black and the second LP is orange. Crazy. They have different matrix/runouts. Anyone have something like this?
Bludworm
yeah i have the same thing! i just opened it after many years of keeping it sealed, finding out here that it's a bootleg and the odd color combo. i got it from amoeba a number of years ago.

This is a pretty good sounding bootleg of the album. It's definitely not perfect (pretty sure it's a digital rip), but so much better than the green copy I have. That thing is a total piece of crap. This is actually done fairly well, with good construction on the jacket, pretty discs, and the correct label artwork.
Xellerlu
I just found this at Amoeba in San Francisco still sealed. I only ended up paying $36, so regardless of being a bootleg, it's not a huge blow to my wallet. They had a good number of sealed copies along with "10,000 Day". The packaging is nice and it doesn't look cheap. I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but I can't wait.
Stonewing
No "And then" I guess... I was hoping to hear the end of it.
Clonanau
And then?

I got mine as a sealed copy and it is a little noisy in some of the more quiet parts, but nothing obnoxious. Still has excellent sound quality for a bootleg. I would recommended this pressing to save yourself around $200 if you want a physical copy in your collection, as I did. The LPs are very sturdy and beautiful. Excellent jacket and artwork reproduction too. Someone really put heart into this bootleg. Definitely does not feel cheap or half-assed. A great addition to my collection!

None of the bootlegs have the locked groove on "useful idiot". To my knowledge, that is one of the key characteristics of an official pressing.
Anarius
Does your copy include the loop on "Useful Idiot"?
